On the morning of May 16, an enemy drone struck the central part of Kharkiv in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Two metro exits, the city’s electric transport overhead contact network, a trolleybus, and a public transport stop were damaged. One resident was injured, according to a statement from Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

The drone hit a road in the central part of the city. Two metro exits and the electric transport contact network were damaged.

A trolleybus and a public transport stop were also damaged. One resident was injured.

Night strikes on city districts

On the night of May 16, Kharkiv also suffered several strikes. Around 12:30 a.m. Kyiv time, a Shahed drone attacked the Kholodnohirskyi district.

Later — at 1:23 a.m. and again at 1:39 a.m. — the enemy struck the Osnovianskyi district. As a result of the night attacks, one woman was affected — she experienced an acute stress reaction.

Strikes on Ukrainian cities are ongoing. On May 15, Russia struck Zaporizhzhia — despite the danger, patrol police immediately began evacuating people from the affected area.

That same day, the Russian units attacked a suburban train in Zaporizhzhia region with a kamikaze drone. The UAV struck near one of the carriages while the train was moving — two passengers were injured.
