Ukraine is identifying targets for further “long-range sanctions” against Russia over the full-scale war and attacks on Ukrainian cities and towns, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“Ukraine will not leave without consequences any strike by the aggressor that takes the lives of our people,” the head of state stressed.
Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is responding “completely fairly” against Russia’s oil industry, military production, and individuals directly responsible for committing war crimes against Ukraine and Ukrainians.
“I am grateful to our warriors for their dedication to defending Ukrainian interests and to all Ukrainian institutions involved in building a truly strong system of our long-range sanctions. This is something that is being felt,” the president said.

As a reminder, on the night of May 15, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the Ryazan Oil Refinery. Explosions and a large-scale fire were reported at one of the aggressor country’s largest refineries.
In addition, Russians complained about a drone attack on the Astrakhan Gas Processing Plant. The facility is located near the Caspian Sea, about 1,675 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
It should also be noted that one of Russia’s largest plants, Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez, completely stopped operations after an attack by Ukrainian drones. It is located about 1,460 kilometers east of Moscow.
