On the night of September 15, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck an oil refinery in Russia’s Samara region and the Atlant Aero enterprise in Taganrog. The consequences of the previous strike on the Slavyansk ECO oil refinery have also been confirmed, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On the night of September 15, units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces carried out strikes on two facilities on Russian territory. The Syzran oil refinery in the Samara region, as well as the Atlant Aero enterprise in Taganrog, Rostov region, were hit.

A hit was recorded on the territory of the oil refinery, after which a fire broke out. The AVT-6 primary oil refining unit and the tank farm were damaged.

What we know about the enterprises

The Syzran oil refinery is part of the Rosneft structure. The enterprise is capable of processing about 8.9 million tons of oil per year. The plant produces gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel, as well as other petroleum products. It is also involved in meeting the needs of the Russian army.

Explosions and a fire were also recorded on the territory of Atlant Aero in Taganrog. The enterprise specializes in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles and components.

It produces the Molniya strike-reconnaissance UAVs and components for Orion drones. The production is used to meet the needs of the Russian armed forces for unmanned systems.

What happened to the oil refinery in Kuban

Additional analysis of the data confirms the consequences of the September 13 strike on the Slavyansk ECO oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Krasnodar Krai. As a result of the attack, three tanks were destroyed, and another eight were damaged.

On the night of September 15, explosions were heard at Sebryakovcement in the Volgograd region – the largest cement producer in Russia. A fire at an oil refinery in Syzran was also reported.
