Russia strikes energy in Ukraine's Zhytomyr region overnight: Casualties and power outages reported

On the night of Sunday, January 11, Russia launched repeated strikes on critical infrastructure facilities in the Zhytomyr region, according to the Zhytomyr regional military administration.
Two employees were injured as a result of the Russian attack. They suffered moderate injuries and were hospitalized.
The strikes caused fires. Rescuers are working in difficult conditions, as firefighting was complicated by repeated air raid alerts. One of the fires has already been extinguished, while another is still being fought.
In addition, emergency power cuts have been introduced in the Korosten district. This was reported by the Zhytomyroblenergo energy company. Energy companies are urging consumers to unplug appliances that are sensitive to voltage fluctuations.

Russan strikes on Ukraine
On the night of January 10, Russia attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 121 strike drones from different directions. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 94 Russian drones. Kryvyi Rih was hit, with several infrastructure facilities damaged and two people wounded.
Due to Russian strikes, Saksahanskyi and Pokrovskyi districts were left without electricity. Emergency services worked through the night and are continuing restoration work.
On the evening of January 10, Lozova in the Kharkiv region was subjected to a massive Russian drone attack, damaging residential buildings and critical infrastructure and injuring a man. Explosions were also heard in Kharkiv, and in the Odesa region, the Russians struck port infrastructure, causing a fire.
Last night, Russia attacked Ukraine with 154 strike drones from various directions. Ukrainian air defense forces managed to shoot down most of the Russian drones. 22 Russian strike drones were recorded hitting 18 locations, and 2 locations were hit by downed Russian drones.
