Russia launches over 150 drones at Ukraine, air defenses knock down dozens

On the night of January 11, Russia attacked Ukraine with 154 strike drones from various directions. Air defense forces managed to shoot down most of the enemy UAVs, according to the Telegram channel of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the military, from 18:30 on January 10 until the morning of January 11, Russian forces attacked with 154 Shahed-type strike drones, Gerbera drones, and UAVs of other types from the following directions: Millerovo, Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk — Russia; Hvardiiske — temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. About 110 of them were Shaheds.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense shot down/suppressed 125 enemy Shahed-type drones, Gerbera drones, and UAVs of other types in the north, south, and east of the country.
Hits by 22 strike drones were recorded at 18 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (debris) at two locations.
"The attack is ongoing, several enemy drones remain in the airspace. Follow safety rules!" the Air Force warned.
Shelling of Ukraine
As a reminder, on the night of January 10, Russia attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 121 strike drones from various directions. Air defense forces managed to shoot down 94 enemy UAVs.
In particular, Russian troops carried out another attack on Kryvyi Rih, striking several infrastructure facilities.
As a result of the nighttime shelling, some neighborhoods of the Saksahanskyi district and parts of the Pokrovskyi district remain without electricity. Emergency repair works continued throughout the night and are still ongoing.
Two people were injured in the shelling, one of them is in moderate condition.
In the evening of January 10, the city of Lozova in the Kharkiv region came under a massive enemy drone attack using Geran UAVs. Residential buildings and critical infrastructure were damaged, and one man was wounded.
Explosions were also heard in Kharkiv yesterday. Local authorities reported damage to one of the infrastructure facilities.
According to local public sources, several powerful explosions were heard in the city. At the same time, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of an existing missile threat to the Kharkiv region.
Russian troops also struck port infrastructure in the Odesa region. An empty tank was damaged, and insulation caught fire.
