Russia strikes Donetsk region: Dozens of houses damaged, children among wounded
On Monday, September 23, the Russian army attacked the village of Shakhove in the Donetsk region. The shelling injured two children, according to the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
According to Filashkin, 7 people were injured during the Russian shelling of Shakhove, including 2 children. Two of the wounded were taken to the nearest hospital, the rest received medical assistance on the spot.
Russian attack also damaged 24 private houses, 3 administrative buildings, and a social institution.
“This is another Russian war crime and another cruel reminder that it is dangerous to stay in Donetsk region,” he writes.

Evacuation in Donetsk region
Due to active hostilities in the Donetsk region, civilians and children are being forcibly evacuated. The situation is tense in the city of Pokrovsk, where Russians are trying to break through. Several major bridges have been destroyed there. The Pokrovsk direction remains one of the hottest in terms of the number of battles, although former spokesperson for the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Vladyslav Seleznov said in a commentary to RBC-Ukraine that the Russians have probably suspended their attack on Pokrovsk.
Currently, evacuations are taking place from the following settlements in Pokrovsk and Kramatorsk districts: Berestky, Vovchenka, Voznesenka, Dachne, Zelenivka, Zoria, Kreminna Balka, Novodmytrivka, Novoselydivka, Sontsivka, Stari Terny, Stepanivka, Sukhi Yaly, Yantarne, the village of Hostre, and Illinivka, Berezivka, Berestok, Vodiane Druhe, Hnativka, Dovha Balka, Zelene Pole, Kalynove, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Popiv Yar, Rozkishne, Rusyn Yar, Stara Mykolayivka, Stepanivka, Tarasivka, Yablunivka.
