Russia spending $1 billion a day to keep war going - Ukraine's Foreign Minister

For Russia, the cost of one day of full-scale war with Ukraine is almost one billion dollars, according to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
"The cost of one day of war for Russia is almost one billion dollars. What a huge amount of benefits they could bring to their people for this money! And what are they doing instead? They are sowing death!" Sybiha says.
Strengthening sanctions against Russia
The head of the department also noted that after studying Russian missiles, especially ballistic missiles, it turned out that about 30-35% of their components were made in Western countries.
This, according to Sybiha, indicates that Russia continues to look for ways to circumvent sanctions, which, in turn, emphasizes the importance of imposing secondary restrictions on third countries that help a terrorist country.
"I can tell you for sure: sanctions are working! They need to be strengthened, and how Russia circumvents sanctions needs to be closed. Otherwise, we will not be able to stop Russia," Sybiha adds.
Sanctions against Russia
Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, many sanctions have been imposed on Russia by the West. The restrictions affected banks, aviation, energy, defense, and thousands of individuals.
The purpose of the sanctions is to weaken the Russian economy and limit its ability to finance the war.
According to media reports, the European Union is facing a breakdown in cooperation with the United States on sanctions against Russia. However, the Ukrainian President's office later denied this information.
