Russia continues the second phase of its operation of strikes on Ukraine's critical infrastructure, and its current targets include water supply, reservoirs, dams, and logistics, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The Ukrainian president said that the plans of the aggressor country are clear, but noted that Ukraine is now stronger than in winter.
"We need to fight for funding. Funding will strengthen our air defense. Without a doubt. The technologies exist," he stressed.
Zelenskyy added that Ukraine is capable of producing two thousand interceptor drones per day, but sufficient funding is needed for this.
Loan for Ukraine
Hungary has blocked the provision of a 90 billion euro loan to Ukraine from the European Union. Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said he will not lift the veto until the supply of Russian oil through Ukrainian territory is restored.
Despite systematic blocking by Hungary, the European Union continues technical preparations to provide Ukraine with a 90 billion euro loan. In Brussels, they are focused on ensuring that political obstacles do not stop the process of providing financial support.
Leaders of EU member states gathered on March 19 in Brussels to discuss pressing issues such as the war in Iran and assistance to Ukraine. However, despite heated debates, they failed to convince the Hungarian prime minister to lift his veto on the loan.
After the summit, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that the European Union will, one way or another, provide Ukraine with a 90 billion euro loan, despite the blockage by Hungary.
