On Sunday, November 17, the Russian army shelled DTEK's thermal power plants. The equipment at the stations was damaged, according to DTEK.

"DTEK thermal power plants were attacked. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties," the statement reads.

As a result of the attacks, the equipment at the stations was seriously damaged. After the shelling ended, the company's staff immediately began addressing the aftermath and restoring the equipment.

It is noted that this is the eighth attack on the company’s energy facilities this year. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, DTEK's thermal power plants have been shelled more than 190 times.

Attack on the energy sector

Today, the occupiers launched about 120 missiles and 90 drones at Ukraine. According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, air defense forces destroyed over 140 aerial targets.

Air defense systems were active across several regions of Ukraine. The enemy targeted electricity generation and transmission facilities. Hits were recorded at critical infrastructure sites in several regions.
