During a massive attack on November 17, Russia fired 120 missiles and 90 drones at Ukraine. Air defense forces destroyed more than 140 air targets, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

At night and in the morning, the Russian troops used drones of various types, including Shaheds, cruise, ballistic, and airborne missiles Zircon, Iskander, and Kinzhal.

“In total, about 120 missiles and 90 drones. Our air defense forces destroyed more than 140 air targets. The enemy targeted our energy infrastructure across Ukraine. Unfortunately, there is damage to facilities from hits and falling debris,” the president said.

Zelenskyy adds there are power cuts in some areas, and all necessary forces are involved in eliminating the attack's consequences.

He thanked the air defense forces - anti-aircraft troops, F-16, Su and MiG pilots, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare forces.

Consequences of the Russian attack

Today, on November 17, Russia launched its most powerful attack in three months. They fired drones and various types of missiles at Ukraine.

Explosions were heard in many areas, air defense was operating. There were hits in the Mykolaiv, Dnipro, Rivne, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, and Vinnytsia regions.

In Kyiv, debris fell in three districts. One casualty was reported.

The Russians targeted energy facilities. Emergency blackouts were introduced in Ukraine due to the enemy attack. Problems with water supply are reported in some cities.
