Russia sends rather professional sabotage and reconnaissance groups to Ukrainian border
The Russian Federation is sending quite professional sabotage and reconnaissance groups to the border with Ukraine. Tactical measures are being used against them, according to Vadym Mysnyk, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian military's Northern Operational Command.
"Our intelligence tracks the actions of forces on the other side of the border. And, of course, all the time - last year, this year, winter, and spring - professional saboteurs from the Russian Federation have been working here. We must not underestimate the enemy," said Vadym Mysnyk, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian military's Northern Operational Command.
According to Mysnyk, the Armed Forces of Ukraine use certain tactical measures to detect and destroy sabotage and reconnaissance groups (SRGs) even as they approach the border.
In response to a question about the presence of Kadyrov's troops in the SRGs, the spokesperson noted that they have no information about SRGs or reconnaissance troops from Russia. Typically, Kadyrov's troops are used more as blocking units, and as experience shows, they are not very actively used in assault or reconnaissance groups.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Ukrainian Defense Forces fully control the Sumy region. According to him, Russia continues to use SRGs, which the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully destroy.
Regarding the village of Ryzhivka, the enemy tried to carry out a propaganda operation there. Zelenskyy noted that the Russian flag in the village was destroyed and there is no presence of the Russian army.
Previously, it was reported that the US will send Ukraine another Patriot system to strengthen the country's air defense against intensive Russian attacks.
