Russia seeks to discredit US: Presidential Office warns Trump

Mykhailo Podolyak, Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, stated in a comment to RBC-Ukraine that the information that White House Chief Donald Trump and dictator Vladimir Putin discussed halting American aid to Ukraine is fabricated. Russia is deliberately trying to discredit the United States.
According to Podolyak, this claim was made by the Russian Federation, while Trump himself stated that Putin did not demand the cessation of aid to Ukraine during their negotiations.
As the presidential adviser noted, this situation is highly significant, as the United States could have simply ignored Russia's statement, yet Washington chose a different strategy and clearly stated that no such discussions took place.
"And yet, Russia insists on this narrative. You can see that Russia is now deliberately working to discredit the United States. I think these are the first warning signs that will be properly assessed by Mr. Trump’s administration, by Mr. Trump himself, and so on," Podolyak added.
Putin and Trump's phone call
Yesterday, March 18, a phone conversation occurred between Trump and Putin. Among the topics discussed was the full-scale war in Ukraine. Following the talks, Putin agreed to a 30-day "ceasefire," but this only applied to stopping attacks on energy infrastructure.
Additionally, Russia claimed that Putin demanded the US stop its aid to Ukraine, but Trump later denied this claim.
