Russia seeks fresh launch sites for missiles after Su-34 downed: Ukrainian forces report
Russian pilots in the south are now seeking new frontlines for missile launches. This comes after the destruction of three Su-34 occupant aircraft in the Kherson region, according to a statement from the head of the Unified Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces in southern Ukraine, Natalia Humeniuk.
She has noted that after December 22, when Ukrainian defenders downed three Su-34s, there has been no activity of strategic aviation in the south. Currently, the enemy is studying new tactics and will test them.
"They are trying to find other launch lines for their aircraft, where they can fly without being hit. But given their bitter experience, they will be cautious in these future sorties," adds Humeniuk.
Destruction of Russian aircraft
On December 22, Ukrainian defenders managed to destroy three Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers in the Kherson region within a day.
On December 24, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed another Su-34 and one Su-30 belonging to Russian occupiers.
The Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security stated that the Ukrainian air defense forces had surpassed their success in eliminating enemy aviation in the Bryansk region.
