Today, on December 22, Ukrainian defenders destroyed three Russian Su-34 aircraft. It happened in the southern direction, according to Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk.
"Today at noon in the southern direction - minus three Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers," the message says.
The Air Force commander did not disclose the details of the operation or the exact location.
According to Oleshchuk, the Russians wrote a wish for Ukrainians to die on the Shahed that was shot down last night. The response of the Ukrainian defenders was not delayed.
Information on the Russian night drones attack
Since the evening of December 21, the Ukrainian Air Force has been reporting launches and movement of Shaheds. It is known that explosions due to air defense were heard in the capital, Kyiv, Odesa, and Khmelnytskyi regions.
In total, the occupiers launched 28 Shaheds, and the air defense forces destroyed 24 of them.
In Kyiv, a drone's wreckage fell on a high-rise building, causing a fire. It happened in the Solomianskyi district. In addition, there is also damage due to debris in the Darnytskyi and Holosiivskyi districts. RBC-Ukraine visited the scene of the incident.
In the capital, two people were injured in the night attack, one man was hospitalized.
