The peace plan presented by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy "radically differs" from the version being discussed by representatives of Russia and the United States, stated Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
Ryabkov said Russia has seen the 20-point peace plan presented by the Ukrainian President.
"We know that this plan is radically different - if it can even be called a plan - from the 27 points that we have been working on in contacts with the American side over recent weeks, starting in early December," he said.
US peace plan
Ukraine and the United States held a series of consultations during talks in Miami on December 19-21. The discussions focused on four key documents that are part of a future peace agreement. Most issues were agreed on, but the territorial question remains the most difficult.
On Wednesday, December 24, Zelenskyy revealed the full content of the 20-point peace plan for the first time. In addition to the core document, there are separate appendices for each area.
US officials have said it is possible to end the war in Ukraine and achieve lasting peace within the next 90 days. The administration of US President Donald Trump plans to apply pressure on both sides - Russia and Ukraine.
Russia is demanding changes to the latest US peace plan. In particular, Moscow wants tighter restrictions on Ukraine's armed forces, as well as decisions on sanctions and Russia's frozen assets.
RBC-Ukraine previously reported that Zelenskyy will meet with US President Donald Trump on Sunday, December 28, to discuss the peace plan. The meeting will take place at Trump's residence in Florida.
