The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to inflict significant losses on Russia, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to September 5, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • Personnel - approximately 1,086,220 (+810) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • Tanks - 11,159 (+2);
  • Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,243 (+2);
  • Artillery systems - 32,435 (+50);
  • MLRS - 1,480 (+1);
  • Anti-aircraft systems - 1,216 (+1);
  • Aircraft - 422;
  • Helicopters - 341;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 56,267 (+222);
  • Cruise missiles - 3,686;
  • Warships/boats - 28;
  • Submarines - 1;
  • Vehicles and fuel tanks - 60,831 (+139);
  • Special equipment - 3,956.

Situation on the front line

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainian forces are achieving very positive results in Donbas and are preparing unpleasant surprises for Russian troops.

Meanwhile, the fiercest battles are taking place in the direction of Pokrovsk and Lyman.

The Russian military command has set a new task for the Russian troops - to capture three cities in the Donetsk region during the fall. These are Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, and Dobropillia.
