Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of September 4

During the past day, the Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out 180 combat clashes with Russian invaders. The fiercest battles were taking place in the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Enemy attacks
During the day, the enemy carried out 4 missiles and 63 air strikes. For this, 28 missiles were used and 118 guided aerial bombs were dropped.
In addition, Russian troops carried out 5,088 shellings, including 25 from multiple launch rocket systems, and involved 6,104 kamikaze drones.
Air strikes were inflicted on the areas of the settlements Bilohirya and Veselyanka of the Zaporizhzhia region, as well as Olhivka in the Kherson region.
Response of the Defense Forces
Ukrainian aviation, missile troops, and artillery carried out strikes on five areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment of the enemy. Also, it destroyed three artillery means of the adversary.
Situation by directions
In the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled five attacks of the Russians. During the past day the enemy carried out 8 air strikes, in total dropped 24 guided aerial bombs and carried out 252 artillery shellings, in particular three from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South Slobozhanskyi direction, our troops stopped 11 attacks of the enemy in the area of the settlement Vovchansk and toward Kutkivka.
In the Kupiansk direction yesterday, there were six attacks by the invaders. Our defenders were repelling assault actions of the enemy in the area of the settlement Zahryzove and toward Kupiansk, Petropavlivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 41 times, trying to wedge into our defense near the settlements Novomykhailivka, Ridkodub, Karpivka, Kolodiazi, Torske, Serebrianka, and toward Novyi Myr, Shandryholove, Drobysheve, Yampil, Dronivka, and Siversk.
In the Siversk direction, the Defense Forces repelled eight attacks of the enemy near Hryhorivka and toward Serebrianka, Vyjimka.
In the Kramatorsk direction yesterday, there were seven combat clashes. The invader tried to advance toward the settlements of Pazeno and Stupochky.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 10 attacks in the areas of the settlements Dyliivka, Shcherbynivka, Katerynivka, and toward Pleshchiivka and Poltavka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 55 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements Shakhove, Zapovidne, Zatyshok, Fedorivka, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Horikhove, and toward the settlements Novyi Donbas, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Promin, Sukhyi Yar, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Molodetske, and Filiia.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy yesterday carried out 18 attacks in the areas of the settlements Yalta, Zelenyi Hai, Tolstoi, Voskresenka, Komyshuvakha, and toward Ivanivka, Novomykhailivka.
In the Hulyaipole direction, during the past day, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy carried out two attempts to break through the defense of our defenders toward the settlements of Novodanylivka and Plavni.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, our defenders successfully stopped an enemy attack toward the settlement Antonivka.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of offensive groups of the enemy were detected.
Losses of the Russian Federation in the war
During the day, the Russian army suffered losses of 840 servicemen.
The Defense Forces of Ukraine also destroyed 4 armored combat vehicles, 43 artillery systems, 2 multiple launch rocket systems, and 2 air defense means.
In addition, 261 operational-tactical level unmanned aerial vehicles, 22 missiles, and 92 units of enemy automotive equipment were eliminated.
