Throughout September 16, Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine totaled 1,020 soldiers. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed 2 tanks, 6 armoured personnel carriers, and 6 artillery systems, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to September 17, 2024, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 635880 (+1020) troops;
- tanks - 8683 (+3);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 17077 (+6);
- artillery systems - 18129 (+6);
- MLRS - 1188 (+1);
- anti-aircraft systems - 947;
- aircraft - 369;
- helicopters - 328;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 15329 (+66);
- cruise missiles - 2592;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 24739 (+27);
- special equipment - 3091 (+1).
According to the latest report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 153 combat engagements occurred at the frontline over the past day. Russians are most active in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions - 40 and 42 attacks respectively.
