Russia's losses in Ukraine as of September 6: +1,170 troops, 74 drones and MLRS
In the past 24 hours, from September 5 to 6, Russian forces sustained losses of 1,170 soldiers, 20 artillery systems, and one air defense asset on the front, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian from February 24, 2022, to September 6, 2024, is estimated to be:
- personnel - about 622,720 (+1,170) troops;
- tanks - 8,631 (+7) units;
- armored combat vehicles - 16,878 (+9) units;
- artillery systems - 17,745 (+20) units;
- MLRS - 1,178 (+1) units;
- anti-aircraft defense systems - 941 (+1) units;
- aircraft - 368 units;
- helicopters - 328 units;
- UAVs operational-tactical level - 14,732 (+74) units;
- cruise missiles - 2,587 units;
- warships/boats - 28 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 24,116 (+72) units;
- special equipment - 3,037 (+13) units.

As a reminder, according to ISW, in the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces have regained positions in one area of the Kharkiv region. However, Russian troops have made advances near Kupiansk and Chasiv Yar.
The Ukrainian General Staff reports that the situation remains most tense in the Pokrovsk direction in the Donetsk region.
Meanwhile, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that Ukrainian defenders have succeeded in halting Russian advances in the Pokrovsk direction.
