Russia's losses in Ukraine as of September 6: 610 invaders and almost 40 artillery systems eliminated
Ukrainian fighters eliminated another 610 Russian occupiers during the day, so the Russian army has already lost about 266,290 soldiers since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Also, the Armed Forces destroyed 36 artillery systems, 8 tanks, and 12 APVs of the enemy, according to the Facebook of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The general enemy combat losses from February 24, 2022, to September 6, 2023, are estimated as follows:
- Personnel - approximately 266,290 (+610) individuals were eliminated.
- Tanks - 4,497 (+8) units.
- APVs - 8,682 (+12) units.
- Artillery systems - 5,685 (+36) units.
- Multiple rocket launchers - 748 (+1) units.
- Anti-aircraft missile systems - 505 (+1) units.
- Aircraft - 315 units.
- Helicopters - 316 units.
- Tactical-level UAVs - 4,519 (+7) units.
- Cruise missiles - 1,447 units.
- Ships/boats - 19 units.
- Automotive equipment and tank trucks - 8,190 (+15) units.
- Specialized equipment - 852 (+1) units.
Frontline situation
According to the General Staff, the Armed Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction. Ukrainian troops hit 14 enemy artillery pieces. During the day, 28 combat clashes took place.
According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), on September 5, the Armed Forces of Ukraine achieved success south of Andriivka and in the area of Klishchiivka. They also advanced in the Robotyne area and northwest of Verbove. Due to the powerful artillery shelling of the Armed Forces, the occupiers lost their morale.
