Russia's losses in Ukraine as of July 5: Over 1,100 soldiers, 54 artillery systems more
Losses for Russia in the war in Ukraine from July 4 to 5 amounted to 1,110 soldiers. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation has lost approximately 548,580 soldiers. Additionally, during the day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 54 artillery systems and 57 unmanned aerial vehicles, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The overall combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to July 5, 2024, are estimated as follows:
- personnel - 548,580 (+1,110) individuals eliminated;
- tanks - 8,142 (+10) units;
- armored personnel vehicles - 15,611 (+11) units;
- artillery systems - 14,831 (+54) units;
- MLRS - 1,115 units;
- anti-aircraft warfare systems - 878 units;
- aircraft: 360 units;
- helicopters: 326 units;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 11,751 (+57) units;
- cruise missiles - 2,342 units;
- warships/boats - 28 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- vehicles & fuel tanks - 19,977 (+54) units;
- special equipment - 2,473 (+5) units.
Defense forces repelled an attack in the Kharkiv region, while the enemy pressed on in Donbas.
According to the Institute for the Study of War, Russian President Vladimir Putin is confident in Russia's victory and does not plan to withdraw troops from Ukraine.
Meanwhile, in the West, preparations are underway to authorize armed forces to destroy Russian bombers with Western weaponry.
