Russia's losses in Ukraine as of July 18: +1,420 troops and 85 artillery systems

Ukraine says Russian troops suffered another setback over the past 24 hours, with fresh losses reported as battles continued across the front.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to July 18, 2026, are estimated to be:
- Personnel - nearly 1,427,410 (+1,420)
- Tanks ‒ 12,151 (+3)
- Armored fighting vehicles ‒ 24,956 (+10)
- Special equipment ‒ 4,428 (+4)

Frontline situation
Yesterday, Ukrainian maritime drones destroyed another 12 vessels of Russia’s shadow fleet in the Black Sea. Over almost two weeks of Operation MoLoChKa, the total number of ships struck has increased significantly.
Combat divers from the National Guard of Ukraine conducted a surprising operation - destroyed a Russian Su-24M bomber at the Saky military airbase in temporarily occupied Crimea, while taking off.
At the same time, Russia continues to strike transport infrastructure in Ukraine. On the morning of July 17, Russia attacked Mykolaiv’s port with drones; 2 people were killed.
