Situation on front

The situation on the front has changed somewhat in the most difficult direction - now, in addition to fierce fighting in the direction of Pokrovsk, the Russians are also trying to break through in the Huliaipole direction. This direction is one of the priorities for the Russian invaders, as previously confirmed by the Institute for the Study of War.

However, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are repelling the Russian troops, although the situation in both the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole directions is difficult.

The Russians are also continuing their attempts to break through to Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region. The Russian command has set a deadline to take the city again by February 2026.

Russia has already reported the occupation of Kupiansk several times, while the Ukrainian Defense Forces have confirmed their control over the city.

Support for army in political arena

Ukraine is discussing security guarantees with its European partners and the US as part of Washington's peace plan, which includes support for the Ukrainian army and the defense of the state as a whole.

A meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, delegations from the US and Ukraine, took place in Paris recently, where security guarantees were among the topics discussed. Our side approved a declaration on security guarantees with the Europeans, while President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the finalization of a similar agreement with America.

As of today, Ukraine and the US have agreed on an important military document regarding future support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It consists of four sections and four appendices.
