As of the evening of December 29, the situation on the front remained tense, with Russian forces continuing to apply heavy pressure in several directions. A total of 136 combat engagements were recorded since the beginning of the day, indicating high enemy activity and the need to remain vigilant.
Intense fighting continues in Rodynske in the Donetsk region, but claims of complete Russian control over the city do not correspond to reality. The enemy attempted to gain a foothold along the railway in the north, and Ukrainian units in the western parts of the city continue to hold their positions and contain the advance.
