Situation on the front

Regarding Ukraine's recent losses on the battlefield, the town of Siversk in the Donetsk region has been occupied. Ukrainian defenders withdrew from the city — a decision was made to preserve the lives of the soldiers.

However, fighting for territory and the civilian population continues in other areas. For example, although the situation is complicated in Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, and Huliaipole, these cities remain under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine despite Kremlin claims about their capture.

The General Staff explained that Russian military command reports so-called successes on the front to Putin that do not reflect reality, to avoid losing ground.

Moreover, the head of the National Guard, Oleksandr Pivnenko, recently stated that Ukraine will reinforce units for a counterassault in Pokrovsk, where the enemy infiltrated in small groups using fog as cover.
