The situation on the front lines in Ukraine remains tense, and data on Russian losses for the period from February 24, 2022, to December 3, 2025, demonstrate the scale of hostilities and the effectiveness of defensive operations, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to December 3, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • Personnel - about 1,176,230 (+1,200)
  • Tanks - 11,393 (+6)
  • Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,682 (+3)
  • Artillery systems - 34,780 (+12)
  • MLRS - 1,555 (+3)
  • Anti-aircraft systems - 1,253
  • Aircraft - 430
  • Helicopters - 347
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 86,231 (+90)
  • Cruise missiles - 4,024
  • Warships/boats - 28
  • Submarines - 1
  • Vehicles and fuel tanks - 68,688 (+47)
  • Special equipment - 4,012 (+1).

The European Commission is working on creating a legal mechanism that would allow frozen Russian assets to be used to help Ukraine, while facing concerns from Belgium about the potential financial and legal risks of such an initiative.

The Russian armed forces continue to carry out targeted strikes on Ukraine, focusing on strategic energy and defense infrastructure facilities, while Russian Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov reported to Putin on the implementation of the approved General Staff plan.
