The Russian army continues systematic strikes on Ukrainian territory, focusing on strategic energy and military-industrial infrastructure, according to Russian media.

According to Russian media, the Chief of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the implementation of the "General Staff plan," which envisions massive "retaliatory" strikes on selected targets.

Strikes on energy facilities and military-industrial sector

The Russian General Staff claims that the attacks are aimed at infrastructure elements that support the functioning of Ukraine’s military-industrial complex, as well as key energy hubs.

Russian officials emphasize that these specific targets continue to be subjected to "large-scale retaliatory strikes."

Preparation for new massive attacks

According to Russian reports, the Russian Armed Forces are preparing for another wave of strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure.

During Putin’s visit to one of the command posts of the Joint Grouping of Forces, Gerasimov stressed the need to continue the attacks to "ensure defense objectives and support the military-industrial complex."

Reaction and context

The attacks are taking place amid intensified fighting along various sections of the front, and the Russian side presents them as "responses" to Ukrainian actions.

The reports highlight the strategic importance of each strike in fulfilling the tasks set by the General Staff.

Thus, Russian official sources are documenting a systemic impact on key Ukrainian infrastructure and intend to maintain pressure in line with the approved operational plan.

Washington has stepped up efforts to advance a new diplomatic track on Ukraine, involving individuals without traditional diplomatic backgrounds to accelerate progress toward a peace agreement.

In the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, there has been a sharp rise in the number of stray dogs: aggressive packs have been attacking people during the day, posing a serious threat to the lives and health of residents.
