Over the last day, from December 19 to 20, the Russians lost 2,200 soldiers, 24 armored combat vehicles, and 115 vehicles at the front, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to December 20, 2024, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 770,420 (+2,200) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks - 9,584 (+8) units;
  • armored personnel vehicle - 19,823 (+24) units;
  • artillery systems - 21,220 (+42) units;
  • MLRS - 1,256 units;
  • anti-aircraft warfare systems - 1,027 (+1) units;
  • aircraft - 369 units;
  • helicopters - 329 units;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 20,600 (+79) units;
  • cruise missiles - 2,943 units;
  • warships/boats - 28 units;
  • submarines - 1 unit;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 31,793 (+115) units;
  • special equipment - 3,662 (+6) units.

Russian air attacks

Since the evening of December 19, Russia has again attacked Ukraine with Shahed-type kamikaze drones. The wreckage of a downed Russian drone was seen falling in one of Kyiv's districts.

On the morning of December 20, Russians attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles. Powerful explosions were heard in the city, and air defense systems were activated.

In addition, Russians are massively shelling Kherson with artillery. There are casualties among residents.
