Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 20: 460 troops and 33 artillery systems
According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff on Facebook, Ukrainian forces eliminated an additional 460 Russians the previous day. Since the start of Russia's large-scale invasion, approximately 257,470 units of enemy personnel have been lost.

Frontline situation
According to the Institute for the Study of War, Ukrainian soldiers have likely advanced along the Avdiivka-Donetsk line. Military forces continue to establish a foothold for an advance on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region.
