Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 18: +1,170 troops and 71 artillery systems

Over the past 24 hours, from August 17 to 18, the Russians lost 1,170 soldiers, a multiple rocket launcher system, and 79 vehicles on the front lines, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to August 18, 2024 are:
- personnel - about 599,350 (+1170) troops;
- tanks - 8508 (+7);
- armored personnel vehicles - 16,480 (+7);
- artillery systems - 17,056 (+71);
- MLRS - 1161 (+1);
- anti-aircraft warfare systems - 923;
- aircraft - 367;
- helicopters - 328;
- UAVs operational-tactical level - 13,752 (+38);
- cruise missiles - 2,432 (+3);
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 22,992 (+79);
- special equipment - 2846 (+2).
Recall that in the Donetsk region, Russians continue their attacks in three directions, and the enemy has seen some success.
On the morning of Sunday, August 18, the aggressor’s forces launched a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. Fortunately, all missiles were intercepted before reaching the capital.
Simultaneously, the Russians also attacked Ukraine with strike drones, prompting air raid alerts in several regions.
