On Sunday, August 18, at around 5:00 AM, the Russian aggressor launched a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv for the third time in August, with a clear interval of six days between the strikes, according to the Telegram channel of the Head of Kyiv’s City Military Administration, Serhiy Popko.

According to preliminary data, this attack was almost identical to the previous two. It is believed, based on still-verified information, that the Russians once again used North Korean KN-23 ballistic missiles. The air defense forces successfully prevented the enemy from achieving its goal and striking Kyiv.

Preliminary reports indicate that the ballistic missiles were intercepted on their approach to the capital.

"Moreover, almost simultaneously with the ballistic missiles, several enemy attack drones approached Kyiv. However, our air defense forces acted in advance, ensuring that Kyiv residents didn’t even hear the sounds of the combat operation. All enemy drones were destroyed far outside the city limits," Popko noted.

He also stated that, as of this moment, no damage has been reported in Kyiv, and there is no information about any casualties.
