Over the past 24 hours, from August 14 to 15, Russia lost 1,220 soldiers in the war against Ukraine. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed Russian aircraft, 47 artillery systems, and other equipment, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 15.08.24 are estimated at

  • personnel - about 595,620 (+1240) troops;
  • tanks - 8484 (+8);
  • armored personnel vehicles - 16,426 (+24);
  • artillery systems - 16,868 (+47);
  • MLRS - 1154 (+3);
  • anti-aircraft warfare systems - 922 (+1);
  • aircraft - 367 (+1);
  • helicopters - 328;
  • UAVs operational-tactical level - 13,598 (+50);
  • cruise missiles - 2,428 (+2);
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 22,775 (+65);
  • special equipment - 2,813.

The US Institute for the Study of War (ISW) confirmed the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region of Russia on August 13 and 14.

Over the past day, 14 August, 153 combat engagements took place at the frontline in Ukraine. A third of them took place in the Pokrovsk sector, where Russia concentrates its efforts, namely 55 attacks. As of 10.m. p, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 40 Russian attempts to attack Ukrainian positions.
