At Khrabrovo Airport in Kaliningrad, restrictions on the reception and departure of aircraft were imposed for the first time since the start of the full-scale war, according to a statement from Rosaviatsia.

"The restrictions are necessary to ensure flight safety," the company’s press service said.

According to airport data, as of 07:30 PM local time, three flights are delayed for departure (two from Saint Petersburg and one from Perm). One flight from Nizhny Novgorod to Kaliningrad is also delayed.

Social media users also report that dozens of flights are currently circling in the air and are unable to land at the airport.

It should be noted that the distance from Khrabrovo Airport to the border with Ukraine exceeds 800 km.

At the beginning of June, Russia plans to almost completely close the airspace over Moscow to civilian aviation. The restrictions will apply to flights at altitudes up to 5,100 meters.

At the same time, the aggressor state has provided several exceptions. The ban will not apply to scheduled and charter passenger flights operating to and from airports.

Recently, operations at 13 airports in southern Russia were suspended after a drone allegedly struck the building of an air navigation service in Rostov-on-Don.

Russians said the administrative building of a branch of the company Aeronautical Navigation of Southern Russia was attacked. As a result, more than 80 flights were delayed or canceled, and at least 14,000 passengers were stuck in waiting halls.
