Russian jet drones attack Volyn region
As of 4:20 p.m. on October 16, the Volyn region remains under attack by Russian strike drones, including jet-powered Shahed drones, Romaniuk said.
"A foreign-invested company in Lutsk has been hit again," he noted.
In Kovel, around 10 trucks with semi-trailers are on fire following the attack. One person has been injured.
"A local customs terminal in Kovel was also hit," Romaniuk added.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that authorities had warned of a possible accident at a company in the settlement of Manevychi in the Volyn region, which could result in an ammonia leak into the air.
Meanwhile, the electricity supply situation in Lutsk remains difficult for the second straight day following Russian attacks.
