Alcohol factories in Russia are being used not only for the production of alcohol but also for the manufacturing of fuel for military needs and explosives. That’s why these facilities are being targeted by Ukrainian drones, Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD), reports.

According to him, Ukrainian drones recently struck four facilities on Russian territory:

  • Biokhim, a facility engaged in the processing of molasses and the production of ethanol;
  • Luzhkovsky alcohol plant;
  • Efremov alcohol plant;
  • An industrial facility in the Voronezh region.

Kovalenko emphasized that all these objects are military, although they are disguised as civilian enterprises.

Attacks in Russia

On the night of October 22, several incidents involving explosions and fires occurred in Russia. In particular, drones attacked distilleries in Yefremov, Tula region, while a fire broke out at the Biokhim facility in the Tambov region.

On the night of October 20, air defense systems were active in several regions of Russia due to the detection of drones. Explosions and fires were reported. According to official information, drone attacks were repelled in at least eight regions.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed a strike on a North Korean ammunition depot located in the Bryansk region of Russia.
