Russia's Defense Ministry reports successful strikes on targets in Ukraine

Russia's Defense Ministry reported that overnight, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a massive strike on Ukraine's energy infrastructure using precision weapons, Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, and attack drones, the ministry said.
"In response to terrorist attacks by the Kyiv regime on civilian facilities on the territory of Russia, last night the Russian Armed Forces carried out a massive strike with long-range precision weapons launched from land and air," the Russians stated.
It is reported that they also used Kinzhal hypersonic aero-ballistic missiles and attacked unmanned aerial vehicles.
They struck energy infrastructure facilities that ensured the operation of enterprises of Ukraine's military-industrial complex.
"The targets of the strike were achieved. All designated facilities were hit," the ministry said.
Attack on Kyiv on October 10
Russian forces began attacking Kyiv late on October 9.
The enemy launched drones toward the capital, triggering multiple explosions. It is known that as a result of the attack on the capital, 12 people were injured.
The enemy's main targets are energy infrastructure facilities. The Ministry of Energy explained that last night Russian forces carried out a massive attack on energy infrastructure sites.
Energy workers are currently taking all necessary measures to minimize negative consequences.
Following the night attacks, emergency power outage schedules were introduced in several regions to ensure the safety of the grid and the public.
