Explosions were reported in the Belgorod region of Russia last night, allegedly due to a drone attack. A substation in the area was hit, resulting in a fire, according to local public sources and Telegram channels.

A fire emergency occurred in the settlement of Tomarovka, within the Yakovlevsky municipal district.

According to the Telegram channel Pepel Belgoroda, the facility was attacked by drones and ignited around midnight.

It is also reported that the settlement experienced a power outage following the incident.

Local chats and Z-media sources have noted that the substation in Tomarovka has been targeted before, and the current fire has led to further communication issues.

Footage of the burning electrical substation has also been circulated online.

Meanwhile, Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov did not mention the drone attacks in his Telegram channel last night.

Instead, the Russian official wrote around 4 a.m. about missile threats to Belgorod and the surrounding areas, including Shebekino and the Shebekinsky district, but later declared that the threat had been lifted.
