Russia redeploying forces on frontline - UK intelligence

Russian military activity has decreased in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions. Units of Russia's ground forces are being redeployed to other sections of the front, according to the UK Ministry of Defense.
According to the UK intelligence, the regrouping is linked to an attempt to increase pressure on priority areas, including the Donetsk region.
Open sources confirm that Ukrainian troops have successfully carried out counterattacks west of Kupiansk over the past two days. This city remains an important logistics hub in the Kharkiv region.
Fighting in the Serebrnianskyi Forest
Over the past ten days, Russian troops have advanced and are fighting in the Serebrnyanskyi Forest in the north of the Donetsk region. They have entrenched themselves along the Siverskyi Donets River, which serves as a natural defensive barrier.
Intelligence indicates that the Russians are using the forest as cover from drone strikes and are advancing towards Yampil, located 10 km to the west.
Threat to Lyman
If Russia captures Yampil, this settlement could become a springboard for further attacks on Lyman.
The city is a key railway junction and is located just 9 km from Yampil. Therefore, holding the line in this area remains important for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Pokrovsk direction
According to the UK intelligence, Pokrovsk remains Russia's top priority on the front line.
This is where the largest number of attacks have been recorded compared to other areas.
Russian forces are using various methods, including attacks by motorcycle groups and small units attempting to infiltrate Ukrainian positions, according to the UK Ministry of Defense.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted a successful operation on the most intense front line - Pokrovsk. Ukrainian troops cleared the village of Udachne in the Donetsk region and raised the Ukrainian flag.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukrainian forces had very positive results in Donbas and were preparing unpleasant surprises for Russian troops.
