Russia may be preparing a new large-scale air campaign against Ukraine. Currently, the enemy is producing missiles and drones faster than it is using them, Financial Times reports.

According to unnamed Ukrainian officials and Western analysts, Russia may be preparing a new large-scale air campaign against Ukraine, which will be timed to coincide with a possible new ground offensive.

Financial Times says the weekend's surge in Russian missile and drone attacks could be the initial stage of this broader strategy. Russia is now producing missiles and drones faster than it is using them, building up reserves and increasing pressure on Ukraine's weakened defense.

Russian strikes on Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has been regularly striking Ukraine. Russian troops use various types of missiles, drones, artillery, and guided aerial bombs to attack.

Russia also resorts to night strikes, which creates an additional threat to civilians. Tonight was the third night in a row when Russian troops resorted to massive strikes. On May 24, Russia launched a combined strike on Kyiv, using ballistic missiles and drones simultaneously. The next night, May 25, Russia attacked 13 regions of Ukraine. That same night, Russia used 364 air strikes.
