Russia prepared surprise with transportation for residents of occupied territories - NRC
In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the cost of public transportation will increase. In this way, the Russian authorities are attempting to improve the quality of transportation, reports the National Resistance Center (NRC).
Residents of the occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions are facing numerous inconveniences, including malfunctioning buses, operating hours limited to a maximum of 6:00 PM, and 40 to 50 minutes of waiting for minibusses during peak hours. The prices for transportation are also biting, starting at no less than 20 Russian rubles per trip.
People are complaining about the difficulty of getting home after work, with the only alternative being taxis, which are not affordable for everyone.
Meanwhile, the local Russian administration is preparing for another improvement, likely involving a fare increase to enhance transportation quality. Collaborators are already conducting surveys asking residents if they are willing to pay more for better service.
"However, the increase in transportation costs will not affect the quality of public transport. The total shortage of drivers due to mass mobilization into the Russian army and the dilapidated state of the vehicle fleet cannot be resolved in this way," the report states.
Situation on the occupied territories
In enterprises located in the temporarily occupied territories, Russia plans to establish the production of Iranian Shahed drones.
Additionally, the Russians are transporting Ukrainian grain from the temporarily occupied Mariupol.
Meanwhile, Crimea is facing a catastrophic shortage of labor due to the mass exodus of the population.
