Russia positions Kalibr missile carrier in Black Sea: Strike capacity revealed

As of the morning of June 21, Russia has deployed a cruise missile carrier of the Kalibr type to the Black Sea, reports the Ukrainian Navy.
As of 6:00 a.m. Kyiv time, one Kalibr missile carrier has been detected in the Black Sea, capable of launching up to two missiles.
In the Sea of Azov, no enemy ships have been spotted, while in the Mediterranean, Russia currently has two warships on active duty. None of these vessels is equipped to carry Kalibr missiles.
Additionally, over the past day, the following vessels passed through the Kerch Strait in Russia’s interest:
- to the Black Sea - 2 ships, one of which continued toward the Bosporus Strait;
- to the Sea of Azov - 6 ships, with 4 coming from the Bosporus Strait.
“Russia continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) by disabling automatic identification systems,” the report states.
Russia fears for its fleet
Earlier, Navy spokesperson Dmytro Pletenchuk said that Russia is afraid for its fleet and does not even consider its naval base in Novorossiysk safe.
According to him, the Russians’ concerns grew especially after they were forced to abandon their main base in Sevastopol.
