Russia has officially refused to participate in the second Peace Summit, according to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

She labeled the preparation for the second Peace Summit as "another manifestation of fraud by the Anglo-Saxons and their Ukrainian puppets."

According to Zakharova, they seek to push through the completely unviable Zelenskyy formula as the only possible basis for resolving the conflict, secure support for it from the global majority, and, on their behalf, issue an ultimatum to Russia to capitulate.

"We will not take part in such summits," said Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova.

Zakharova also reiterated the message frequently used by Russian propaganda, claiming that Russia is allegedly ready for a political-diplomatic resolution of the invasion and is prepared to discuss genuinely serious proposals that take into account the situation 'on the ground.

Zakharova characterized the Ukrainian military's control over settlements in the Kursk region, and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's request to Western partners for permission to use Western-supplied weapons deeper into Russia, as a continuation of terror against the Russian population.

"We will not negotiate with terrorists," Zakharova concluded.

Zelenskyy's victory plan and the second Peace Summit

The Office of the President of Ukraine noted that the second Peace Summit will take place after finalizing a joint peace plan based on the 10-point Ukrainian peace formula. The meeting may, though not guaranteed, be held by the end of 2024.

Recently, Zelenskyy announced that the peace plan is ready. US President Joe Biden will be the first to see it when the Ukrainian leader meets with him during his visit to the US next week.
