Russia moves strategic bombers to Siberia (satellite images)

Russian forces are deploying long-range strategic Tu-95 bombers to the Belaya airbase in Siberia, according to OSINT researcher MT Anderson on X.
"Continued buildup up of Tu-95 (strategic long-range bombers) at Belaya in eastern Siberia (reportedly used for strikes against Ukraine)," the researcher wrote.
Satellite images show nine Tu-95 bombers on the apron, one of which landed recently.
The base also hosts a significant number of Tu-22s, MiG-31s, and Su-27s. There is at least one Tu-160, but there may be four. Several An-26 transport aircraft are also present.
Attack on Ukraine on May 5
On the night of Monday, April 5, the Russian army attacked Ukraine from four directions. 116 drones and ballistic missiles were launched.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, starting at 11:00 p.m. on May 4, the enemy struck the Sumy region with two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles fired from Russia’s Kursk region.
In addition, Russian forces launched 116 attack drones and decoy UAVs from the areas of Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, and Prymorsk (the latter in the occupied Zaporizhzhia region).
Ukrainian air defense units shot down 42 Shahed-type drones and other UAVs across the east, north, and south of the country. Another 21 enemy decoy drones were lost from radar tracking with no consequences.
The Sumy and Donetsk regions were affected by the Russian attack.
