Russia may launch another major strike on Ukraine soon – Expert

Russia may launch another major strike on Ukraine soon – Expert Aftermath of the June 23 overnight strike on Kyiv (Vitalii Nosach, RBC-Ukraine)

Russian strikes on Ukrainian territory follow a cyclical pattern, and another large-scale attack may occur later this month, according to aviation expert Valerii Romanenko.

"It's not just predictable — it's expected. I've been tracking the data, more or less, and I was fairly certain that the next large-scale strike would come on Sunday, or sometime between Saturday night and Monday morning," Romanenko said.

According to him, the pattern of Russian strikes on Ukraine is "fairly easy to calculate."

“It's known that the Russians carry out large-scale air raids roughly every five days. I can provide data to support this — there were major strikes on the 1st, 6th, 9th, 18th, and today. Today's was actually the least intense. Based on this pattern, they could launch one more large-scale attack this month at most," the expert emphasized.

June 23 attack on Kyiv

In the early hours of June 23, Russian forces launched a missile and drone attack on Kyiv.

In particular, a missile struck a five-story residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district. One section of the building was completely destroyed as a result.

Full details on the aftermath are available in RBC-Ukraine's coverage.
