At night, Russia massively attacked Odesa with drones. On the morning of July 24, it was reported that the Pryvoz market was on fire, a high-rise building was partially destroyed, and there were victims.

Destruction in Odesa

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, a 9-story building in Odesa was most affected by massive drone attacks, with apartments from the 5th to the 8th floors of one of the entrances destroyed. There is a threat of structural collapse, which makes it difficult to clear the rubble.

"Five people were rescued from the blocked apartments, 33 residents were evacuated," the SESU reports.

In addition, a fire broke out in a private house and at a gas station. Three people were preliminarily injured.

Pryvoz on fire

On the morning of July 24, rescuers reported that the Pryvoz market in Odesa was on fire.

"Russia attacked Odesa. One of the targets was the Pryvoz market," the SESU says.

Later, rescuers reported that the fire in the two-story building and trade pavilions at Pryvoz had been extinguished.

Russian massive strike on Odesa

Overnight, the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleh Kiper, said that Russia had launched a massive strike on Odesa, damaging civilian infrastructure and causing fires.

According to Kiper, there was a fire in a residential high-rise building, the roof of a two-story building, trade pavilions, and a gas station, and a UNESCO-protected architectural monument was damaged in the center of Odesa

Russian missile attack on Cherkasy

In addition to Odesa, Russia also attacked Cherkasy today. After 4 a.m. Kyiv time, an air alert was declared in part of Ukraine, during which the city was attacked. According to local authorities, 7 people were injured in the Russian missile attack on Cherkasy.
