US, Germany agree to deliver 5 Patriot systems to Ukraine

Berlin will provide Ukraine with additional air defense systems and necessary ammunition, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said at a Ramstein meeting.

During a trip to Washington last week, Pistorius reached an agreement with US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth on Germany's participation in providing five Patriot systems.

"Besides, during my trip to Washington last week, I agreed with Pete Hagseth that Germany will contribute to the provision of five urgently needed Patriot systems as soon as possible," Pistorius said.
