Russian forces attacked Ukraine overnight with strike drones and Iskander-M ballistic missiles across several regions. Most of the enemy targets were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense, the Air Force of Ukraine reported.
"On the night of November 18, the enemy attacked with four Iskander-M ballistic missiles launched from Russia's Rostov and Voronezh regions, and 114 strike drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types, around 70 of which were Shaheds," the Air Force said.
The air attack was countered by the Ukrainian Defense Forces' aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, Ukrainian air defense shot down or suppressed 101 enemy drones.
At the same time, there were recorded impacts of four missiles and 13 strike drones at 15 locations, as well as falling debris at two locations.
Night strike on Ukraine on November 18
During the night of November 17–18, Russians launched a massive drone attack on the city of Dnipro. The attack resulted in fires, damaged buildings, and injuries.
Two people were injured in Dnipro as a result of the massive attack. A 59-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man were hospitalized in moderate condition.
Ukrzaliznytsia, the state-owned Ukrainian railway operator, also stated that as a result of the enemy attack on Dnipro, windows in train cars and the station building were shattered, and two trains departed with a 2.5-hour delay.
In addition, Russians attacked Horodnia in the Chernihiv region overnight. The night attack claimed two lives. According to Regional Military Administration head Viacheslav Chaus, two civilian women — aged 75 and 72 — were killed.
