Late in the evening of November 18, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Dnipro. The attack damaged train cars and the railway station, and two trains departed with delays, according to Ukrzaliznytsia’s Telegram.

The company stated that Dnipro experienced a series of heavy attacks. Two passenger trains were delayed by approximately 2.5 hours:

  • Train 31 Zaporizhzhia – Przemyśl;
  • Train 119 Dnipro – Chełm;

“Passengers and crews of these trains, as well as of suburban train 6044 Pyatykhatky – Dnipro, remained in the station shelter throughout the attack and were not harmed,” the statement said.

In addition, Ukrzaliznytsia reported that the blast wave shattered several windows in train cars and at the station. Furthermore, parts of the region experienced power outages, so railway workers deployed backup locomotives.

“Train service has fully resumed. Delays are controlled and we will reduce them,” the company added.
