Russia launched nearly 90 drones and a ballistic missile at Ukraine overnight, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

What was used in the attack

The enemy used the following weapons:

  • 1 Iskander-M ballistic missile launched from the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea;

  • 88 attack drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types;

  • Parodiya decoy drones.

The launches were carried out from several directions: Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), Hvardiiske (Crimea), and from temporarily occupied areas of the Donetsk region.

According to preliminary data as of 8:30 a.m., air defense forces destroyed 79 enemy drones.

A ballistic missile strike and hits by five attack drones were recorded at six locations. Debris from intercepted targets fell at nine locations in the north, south, and east of the country.

The attack is ongoing, and enemy drones remain in Ukrainian airspace.

Russian forces struck civilian cargo vessels bound for Ukrainian ports with drones. A fire broke out aboard the Turkish bulk carrier VICTRESS, killing one crew member, a 58-year-old cook, while eight other sailors were rescued.

The enemy also struck a private residential area in Zaporizhzhia that same morning. A house caught fire after a drone hit it, and a woman who was inside was killed.
