Powerful fire erupts in Novorossiysk sea port on August 18
A massive fire broke out on August 18 in the city of Novorossiysk in the Krasnodar Krai, Russia. The blaze occurred within the sea port area, according to the Russian Telegram channel Shot.
According to the media, the fire occurred in a cargo terminal of the port. It is known that wooden pallets, upon which barrels containing fuel oil were placed, caught fire. The fire has affected an area of at least 1300 square meters.
In the images posted online, it is evident that the port is engulfed in black smoke. According to reports from Telegram channels, the smoke is visible from various parts of Novorossiysk. Several dozen firefighters are currently working at the scene. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
